Tom Albers committed changes in /trunk/KDE/kdepim/akonadi/tray:

The conclusion is that KSystemTrayIcon does not work together with KNotifications, the messages popup randomly on screen, probably because it is no QWidget.

Delete the usage of KNotify and use showMessage() from QSystemTrayIcon instead.
