David Nolden committed changes in /trunk/KDE/kdelibs/kate/completion/katecompletionwidget.cpp:

Set the vertical scroll mode again and again. This works around a problem in kstyle, which overwrites the scroll-mode while showing.

This makes the completion with a very long list(like in KDevelop) a few times faster.

For now (only for now), we can accept this workaround. Please add big warnings around the scroll method forcing.

I have to talk to icefox about this issues with itemviews and see what we can do for the general benefit, and without the need of workarounds.

Since I have seen this and I can say the speed is highly improved, I won't ask for reverting, but at some point we will do it.

So, for now I think this is OK, but we have to discuss with icefox the possible fixes for this issue.
